If you’re looking for a good TV survival show, look no further. In this article we’re going to discuss Dual Survival, one of the best survival shows on TV.

Dual Survival is a show that teaches you how to survive in the wilderness. The catch is that there are two hosts: Cody Lundin who believes in ancient techniques of survival, being close to Mother Nature, etc. and Dave Canterbury (later replaced by Joe Teti) who believes in military approach to survival (taking risks, treating the wilderness as the enemy).

Thanks to these two hosts, you can learn a lot of new things about survival from two completely different perspectives. Cody Lundin is a guy who’s been barefoot for more than twenty years, and he doesn’t even wear shoes when there are temperatures below zero (he may only wear socks). Dave Canterbury is a former soldier who uses all modern technologies of survival, including things that may not be the safest thing to do, but that can help escape from a dangerous situation much more quickly (or survive in this situations better) than methods used by Cody.

Dual Survival has undergone some changes in season three, when Dave Canterbury was replaced by Joe Teti (more about that here: http://www.tvseriesyoulove.com/dual-survival-cancelled/). Although it’s a shame that Dave had to go, we’re happy that the show wasn’t canceled and that Cody Lundin still remains the co-host of the show.

Season three of the show features scenarios that take place all over the world, and in the last episodes, you can really notice the difference in dynamics between Cody and Joe – they finally collaborate instead of arguing all the time. As you can read it in this article titled “Dual Survival Cancelled“, there were 11 episodes of season three. Will there ever be season 4? We think that it’s certain – the third season of the show has met with very positive reviews, even though some people criticized Joe’s behavior in some episodes. We certainly look forward to another season of Dual Survival – we believe that it’s one of the best survival shows on TV (besides Survivorman, and we aren’t sure if there’s going to be another full season of this show).

If we were to choose two currently most popular TV shows, we would without hesitation choose Game of Thrones produced for HBO and The Walking Dead produced for AMC. Obviously both of these shows cater to a different audience, but there are actually many similarities between these shows, and many of them are the reason of these shows popularity. We really aren’t surprised that thousands of people monthly are googling keywords such as “Watch the Walking Dead Season 2” or “Watch Game of Thrones Season 2“.

First and foremost, both shows are characterized by a relatively large cast (obviously Game of Thrones has a much bigger cast). There are many main characters, and consequently, you’ll surely find someone you’ll like. Even characters that you may not like at first may become one of your favorite characters such as Tyrion from Game of Thrones or Daryl from The Walking Dead.

Secondly, there are no safe characters in both shows. In Game of Thrones, Ned Stark dies in the first season, in The Walking Dead, Shane dies in season 2. It makes these shows much more interesting, because you really can’t guess who’s going to be alive in a few episodes and who’s going to die.

Last but most definitely not least, both shows are hugely popular because they are based on hugely successful book series. In the case of The Walking Dead, it’s The Walking Dead comic book series by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard. In case of Game of Thrones, it’s A Saga of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin.
